What will it take to beef up our offense to perform in the clutch without causing too many turnovers? Why does the government not care about our schools? I was trying to water the plants around 6:30PM. I turned on the lawn water faucet and hugh amount of sand sprouted from the hose. I don't know where these sand coming from? Usage of beta-blockers for someone with severe allergies?

2 weeks ago, I found out that I have Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and had been prescribed with beta-blockers &antiarrhythmic drug. I never know that this medication can block the action of epinephrine until I went into anaphylaxis shock 5 days ago, and the epipen wasn't able to help me at all. I was hospitalised for 3 days and the doctor told me to talk to the cardiologist about changing the drug. However, when I spoke to him, he just said that I won't have so many allergy reactions in my life and it is something that I can control by being cautious. He said that I should stick to beta-blockers since it is a safe and the best drug to control cardiac arrhythmia. I tried to explain to him that I'm living with friends who don't really understand about allergies in college and most of the time, the reactions that I have are not because I'm not cautious w/ the things I eat or get in contact with, but because of people surrounding me. Still, he still didn't change his decision. Any advice?

Yucutan peninsula during low season?

My family is planning a trip to the yucutan peninsula (Cancun or Isla Mujeres are the most likely destinations) for sometime in mid-June. I did some reason and noticed that many people took their trips around January to March and I found no information on what it would be like to travel there in June. I'd say it is still bad. My father was thinking about moving there for his job, but his company wouldn't let him because of all the meth problems. The thing is that I live in CA and the type of nursing program that I want to apply to is currently very popular in every school and therefore a lot of competition. My friend and I feel differently about t use of the word "sure" in the context that someone if offering to do something for you. I think that we can use "sure" to imply that we want the situation to come about, however we say thank you when the situation is delivered. I am an international student in my second year at trinity university.I know that trinity is a good school but my problem is that I want to go to an Ivy league Law school and from what I know and what I have heard I think that students in ivy league law schools are usually those that graduate from other Ivy leagues or really really good schools such as uni of chicago etc. So, I was wondering if I should transfer at the end of my sopre year to a maybe higher ranked school so as to improve my chance of an Ivy league admission. I dont really know my GPA but I'm sure it must be 3.6 or higher and I have already started doing LSAT practice tests and I'm sure I can score upto 175 on it. I don't like to brag but I am academically quite talented. I didn't do so well in high school only because I didn't want to back then. I just started preparing for my SAT 5 days before the exam and ended up getting a fairly good score of 2010. I was accepted to UCLA and UT austin but couldn't go because of financial constraints. I love trinity v.v.much, not just because they gave me the FA and the opportunity to study in America but also because I really love it here. I am very thankful to trinity for the help they provided but I do not want to take any chance that might jeopardize my future. Now my transfer options are UT austin, U of virginia, U of Michigan, UCLA etc(UT austin is preferable because I am now a texas resident and therefore would qualify for resident tuition). Ok so last August I got my medium-slightly darkish brown hair highlighted with blond highlights. Its permanent, It was doe with bleach then die. now I don't know what is going on with my body. For years my cycles were 31 days long and I got pregnant with my first on cd15. My periods came back to normal even before I quit feeding and as before, came on every 31st day. My baby is 8 1/2 months and now I am all out of whack. For 3 mos now they have been shorter (26-27 days) and I would still O at about the same time (bbt), at about cd 15 or 16. This last period came at cd 23 and the bleeding lasted 10 days! Much heavier and with lots of clotts. I am on cd 19 and still no raise in temp to show that I have Oed. I am an otherwise healthy person and my eating and excercise patterns are as well. This also helps with the stress of my fast pased career. Since those have been consistant for several years, what on earth is making my cycles so crazy??? My Dr.'s nurse told me to chart and keep tabs on my cycles and come in if it continues for a few more months. I don't want to wait. Help??!??!?

Because the immune system is made to adapt. When it misfires as it does in auto immune diseases it kills both healthy and normal cells. So far gene therapy trying to cure lupus has been unsuccessful because the immune system adapts again and attacks the new gene. It has been very frustrating for researchers and is a very difficult task. Remember, no one has found a cure for the common cold and this is a much simpler task than trying to reboot the entire immune system. My son is 16 months and I feel that he is not doing everything he should. I know that boys take longer on somethings. I Have ADHD and I think that he might end up having it also. What do I do about the guy who broke my heart?

So this last year at university was very emotionally trying. I went to a foreign country to study, and ended up falling for this guy. I told him I was kinda into him after the first week and his response was "I kind of want to say I'm not into you right now, but I don't want to give you false hope." Are there any things that scare you for no obvious reason...stuff you find creepy despite no obvious presence of danger, either real or imagined, to you or to anyone else? Being humble to me is when you don't take your power in something for granted. Like let's say you know about something more than your average person. If you brag about it and make people feel bad because they don't know or understand, then your not humble. I have to agree with this guy, patriotism is more a kind of pride and devotion to something, jingoism is like patriotism to the extreme. I have 169,000 miles on my Mitsu Galant and the engine light just came on for the first time. The next day the rpms started runnin from 1500 to 2500 when I had it in N or P. Well, my name is Katya (short for Katarina). My parents call me Katarina, but when I was younger that was too much of a mouthful for my friends. So it shortened it to Kat or Katya by my school friends and it just stuck. My parents still call me by my full name, Katarina, and my friends still call me Katya. (KAH tee uh). I think if you intend to call your child something from the day they are born (like you know you want a child called Maddy) then you should just name them that. However, sometimes parents intend to have their child called by their full name and it just gets shortened for convenience. (It's a lot easier to say "Hey Kat can I borrow a pencil?" than "Hey Katarina can I borrow a pencil?")

I had a dream about some really weird cats?

So it started out on my front porch, where I was feeding a squirrel an acorn. I had about 3 in my hand, and when he had finished his second acorn, I decided I wanted to plant the third. So I went around looking for some good gr to plant it in. I ended up in this area of my neighborhood that I "knew" was in my neighborhood but in reality, that area doesn't exist. Just an FYI, this one was in WV, where I live. It was my neighborhood, but with an imaginary extension almost. So I started to plant it in the yard of a house, because once again, I "knew" they were my neighbors and I had met them before, and I fell down the hill that their yard was. The house was at the top of the hill, and it declined the further back you went into the yard. Anyways, I fell down, and the sun suddenly came out. But there were these huge cats there, like lions almost, except they were albino, red eyes and everything. Except the eyes themselves were dark brown, it was the fur around their eyes that was red. They looked like something out of Alice and Wonderland. They wanted my acorn. Well, I was in a real rush, they were attacking me, but I planted the acorn in the yard, and started to run away. But I was now in a neighborhood that I used to live in, which is in NJ. This one was an exact replica of the real thing, no added parts. Well, I was running towards a big road that sort of divided off a small part of that neighborhood, because I was trying to get to my friend's apartment. Two of the cats were following me, each had a grip on my arm with their mouths, kind of like how my dog does to me when we're playing and I start running away with a toy she wants. Well anyway, when I cross the street, one of the cats stays behind, while the other still has a grip on me. My sister walks out of the apartment closest to me, which isn't my friends. She's with a girl who lives by us in WV. The other cat let go of me and ran back across the street when she saw my sister. My sister then said, really wisely, aren't you worried about it? But even though I felt really guilty, I never looked back to see if the cat made it safely across, just had an odd feeling that it was fine. I woke up then, to see my sister handing me an envelope from my NJ church with information about their trip to WV, an envelope I had been waiting for. What does it mean??????

i live in new england (maine)...yes each state is very different...Connecticut and Machusettes are one big rat race, especially in Conn--its a bunch of snobby rich people with a BMW in every driveway...M isnt quite as bad and it has Boston which is one of the best cities in the world....but to answer, Maine has what you're looking for, especially the northern coast cof maine (the southern coast is known for its sandy beaches whereas the mid and north coast are known for its rugged rocky coastline)..the towns that fit your needs are Boothbay harbor, Barh Harbor(though its a tourist town), Machias, Cutler, Lubec, Eastport plus a bunch of others that i didnt mention.......Vermont and New Hampshire are very beautiful too but mostly known for their mountains and not so much for the coast...Maine has both the coast and the mountains plus some great coastal towns to see (portland for example) and boston is a short drive away

Why do I feel so bad?

My cat Mia, who was 5, was euthanized on May 6. She became very sick very suddenly. Vet suspected it was a uterine infection since she wasn't spayed, but we never got a definitive diagnosis because we opted not to do the exploratory surgery. Two weeks after, my husband brings home a kitten he got from his sister. I told him beforehand I probably would never want one again. But Rambo's here now. I don't really feel connected to him. I miss Mia terribly and I want her back. Rambo was neutered today, and I feel very bad I didn't spay Mia. I feel like I should have treated her as well because I surely loved her more. I feel bad for Rambo. I want to hold him but I can't stop thinking of Mia today.

How can you determine the concentration of a bleach solution (besides looking on the label)?

I am an anesthetist in Liberia and we process some equipment with bleach for disinfection. The CDC recommends 5.25% solution for this, but the solution we have here (supposedly) is 18%. I can do the math to make a 5.25% soln, but we have no actual docs that say it's 18% and there is some question whether the manufacturer is watering it down. How can I determine approx concentration? I have access to basic lab reagents (of a medical lab), some biological staining dyes (meth blue, indigo carmine, safranin, etc) and fairly accurate measuring equipment, but it's been a long time since I've taken quantitative chem. Any suggestions?

Help! my relationship is falling apart?

I wouldn't recommend vegetable oil for the simple fact that it has byproducts in it that would likely make your hair feel like an oil slick. Virgin Olive Oil is the best to use if you are going to use a product like that, but I recommend getting a hot oil treatment that is specifically made for hair.

I remember reading about the Great Migration and how African-Americans left the slavery torment legacy of the Deep South for western and northern states but it almost seems like the unity dissipitated because we go from everyone being slapped together, tormented, but enduring the pain of cruel slave masters and having a sense of togetherness to being set legally free in 1860 and then everyone goes off and does their own thing resulting in a lack of direction for some so we got gangs in western and northern cities (New York, Chicago, Los Angeles), degradation in the media, and bullying, murder, and intimidation at school and in the neighborhood. Looks like it went from African-Americans suffering together in the 19th century to them turning on each other in the 20th century. That's sad. Just watch the films Amistad (suffer together) and Menace II Society (killing each other) and you'll see the contrast that I mean. Oh and I happen to be African-American myself, 23 years old. Name is Jonathan, but I get along real well with others and my family too. My mom's side resides mostly in Chicago where she was raised and my grandmother is from Arkansas. I do find it kind of sad and interesting how people can go from the frying pan to the fire when they tried to have such aspirations of hope for better living conditions but it only seemed to get worse, but I guess that happens with some people. I also see a contrast between the slave and the Black Panther Party in that both people were oppressed, beaten, and killed by those who had authority over them (slave owners and government officials). It's sad.
