Why do conservatives want to undo FDR's legacy?

If it wan't for him, we'd be living in the times of Scrooge and Marley, with no middle cl, just the m of poor, and a few rich bosses. Is this what they really want to go back to? And if you can't answer intelligently, do me a favor, don't.
