What do I do about the guy who broke my heart?

So this last year at university was very emotionally trying. I went to a foreign country to study, and ended up falling for this guy. I told him I was kinda into him after the first week and his response was "I kind of want to say I'm not into you right now, but I don't want to give you false hope." I was ok with that and life went on. Well, I kept falling for him, he gave no indication of being attached to anyone and on ocasion, I was convinced he was into me, at leas a little. Well, 4 months went by- fairly emotional months for me because I had to wrestle with my feelings for him, and then one day I asked him if everything was ok and he just blurted out that this girl I had met, his friend, was actually his girlfriend, had been since the previous summer. By this time, he was my best friend at school. I fought my emotions for 8 straight months and cried myself to sleep more time than I could possibly count. Him living across the hall didnt help.
