Futuristic harvest moon..?

ok how the hell do you cut the flowers ? i mean when u grow flowers how do u cut them...the freaking vending machine goes like the flowers will grow again if thy are waterd after cutting them...it should tell u how to cut them....becuase i used the sickle and it dint work....nothing works QQ
