Why do so many men presume rights were theirs to "give"?

well tracey if you take the fact that one of my ancestors signed the Declaration of Independence's and the bill of rights which he could of been hung for by the British for treason then yes men gave you those rights. Women didn't fight wars back then and even though its ist that's the way things got done.PS there was no women signing the D.I or The B.O.R these things came to p from hours of debate of the great minds of that generation and was in the best interest for all.So yes we did give you rights which we had to die and fight for. Sorry to burst you bubble but back then a group of feminist fighters with guns would have been wiped off the face of the planet by the british war machine.
